From the long years I have lived (that being only 16) I've always known I wanted to be creative. However, it wasn't until I passed the awkward stringy haired, glasses wearing stage of my life to realize i love clothes. Being kind of an important thing to have (otherwise everyone would be naked and personally i would not want to see a large person running towards me with no pants on....just saying). Just because everyone is "doing it" (that being clothes and fashion trends) doesn't mean you can't be different. Not only different, but your own personal touch. For me, being comfortable but flattering is the key to dressing well. However, although my family is perfectly stable in affording nice things, I have learned from fellow members of my family (who buy 5 pairs of jeans from sears for $20) that buying things for less money is better then anything. Buying most of my clothes from the Salvation Army until a couple years ago, I had no problem telling people i was sporting a large toddler shirt with a whale speaking french from a second hand store. Although, now that I'm old and have taste in how I appear, I can still find great things without my wallet exploding. For me, it's almost a scavenger hunt, to try to find the cheapest thing. I get some form of a rush when you pick up a shirt that you enjoy and the price tag shows in bright red numbers: $5.00. From this blog I hope to show how to "Dress for Less"- just like 'Ross' :), what to do and not to do, and so much more
Thanks!
